1 Year Later

1 Year Later

Today Ream of Warhammer 40k celebrates one year of blogging. I thought I would take a look at the last year and re-link some of the best posts the site has had and some of my favourites.

If there is anything I have learnt over the past year, it is that blogging is hard work and can get quite involved. I have got a lot of plans for the next year and you should see some great things coming as well as more free stuff to download.

Anyway enough rambling on, below are some of the best post from the last year. Please enjoy and share.

The Ostrius System

Ultima Segmentum - The Ostrius System

The Ostrius system comprises of a single star, seven planets and a worm hole, located in the Galactic North of Ultima Segmentum on the Eastern Fringe. The system was brought under Imperial Compliance during the Great Crusade and was noted for its exceptional ship building. When the Horus Heresy broke out, the system sided with the loyalists and created a huge armada of ships. But terrible Warp storms surrounded the entire system halting communication and travel for over 200 years, no doubt a design of the Ruinous Powers. When the storms finally abated, the system made contact with the Imperium and the Armada dispersed across the galaxy to Imperial forces. In the ten thousand years since the loss of the Emperor, the Ostrius system has been wrought with wars and unrest and with the new arrival of the Nexus Worm Hole, a new threat approaches in the 41st Millennium.

Grey Knights - 4th Brotherhood - Strike Force Nexus

Grey Knights - 4th Brotherhood - Strike Force Nexus

We are the hammer; I am the right hand of the Emperor, the instrument of His will, the gauntlet about His fist, the tip of His spear, the edge of His sword.

Dark times are closing on the Imperium. The Ruinous Powers are increasing their presence in the material realm, disgorging from the Warp at every chance and sowing the seeds of Chaos. The Imperium's response to this great threat, are the Grey Knights of Titan, designated Chapter 666 and created in utmost secrecy with the purist of geneseed derived from the Emperor Himself during the Horus Heresy for one purpose. The defence of mankind from the archenemy! They are the Emperors chosen and stand apart in the never ending war against evil.

Before the outbreak of the 13th Black Crusade, Ursakar Creed was known to fight with many different detachments across the breadth of the galaxy. It was upon the desert world of Turambar that Creed encountered a little known Mordian Iron Guard regiment, dubbed simply as 'The Remnants.'  Creed fought alongside the Remnants Colonel, Philias Horatio Atee in several battles. This is the tale of possibly their greatest...

Inquisitorial Warhound Titan: Canis Nex

Warhound Scout Titan

I wanted to tie my Grey knight army and Warhound Titan together, giving it some background "Fluff" as to why they would be fighting alongside one another was the ideal thing. Below is a short background story to represent this, and how a Titan made it into the ranks of the Inquisition. When I finally get my Titan finished, it will be lightly embellished with Inquisitorial iconography, but not overpowering, you will have to look for it to see it.

At the end of the story I have also included my very own Inquisitorial Warhound Titan Datasheet, for use with Apocalypse games, please click on the link to download the PDF file. Feel free to print and use in your games. Remember this is my own fluff, enjoy.
