Ordo Xenos Inquisitor: Conversion Part IV

Ordo Xenos Inquisitor Conversion

Progress has been made again on my Inquisitor conversion, I had my ebay delivery of the Sword and have now been able to get stuck in. Due to gluing of the hand I have not completed as much as I would of liked, but it is coming together. Also I have nearly completed the new base for my retinues Cyber Mastiff.

Please follow these links for 'Part I', 'Part II' and 'Part III' if you have not already seen them.

The Blade
So after a few suggestions, I decided to use an Eldar Dire Avenger Sword. It just had the right feel to it, however I did need to give it a little change to make it just right.

I removed the Eldar markings and removed a section at the base of the blade, I then cut off the end of the hilt and added a skull to make it a little more Imperial looking.

The skull came from the end of a Grey Knight Falchion.

I carefully managed to pin the blade and hilt as it was a little weak and I also filled in the top of the Eldar hand to stop it looking Eldar.

I will be adding two strips up the side of the blade to give it a power weapon look and I will also remove the mould markings on the skull.

The Inquisitors left hand was also filled in to remove the Eldar look.

Head
The Ear was very difficult to do, I will not attempt it again as I am quite happy with the result, It does look quite good with normal eyes, it will also look better when painted.

Cuff
I have now completed one of the cuffs on the arm and I am quite happy with the outcome so far. After careful consideration, I don't think I will add =][= symbols onto the cuffs as I don't think I can pull it off.

Here you can see where I removed the old right hand as I was not happy with it one little bit.

The cuff again.

Strike A Pose
I really think it is looking quite good with with the parts coming together and I am happy with the position of the right arm now.

I am really pleased with the sword and when finished should look stunning. The join of the wrist will be cover using green stuff when the next sleeve cuff is added on.

It will look better when the swords scabbard is added onto the Inquisitors back. the angle of the sword is just how I wanted it as well.

Yep, I'm happy so far.

Who's base is this?
With this base I wanted to try and get a grill effect on it, as if it is a water run off or something. When painted it should look quite effective. I might even try adding some water effect in it to.

Not sure if I want to add a little strip on either side to define it a little more.

Cyber Mastiff
I managed to purchase the Imperial Enforcer and Cyber Mastiff model (Forge World Event Only Model) from ebay, the Enforcer will be part of the retinue and I have plans for him, but here is the Mastiff whom will adorn this base. Great model I must say.

I little drain on the base gives it that little extra dimension, but I did not want to alter it much as the model is perfect by it's self.

~ the Inquisition merely performs the duty of its office. To further fear them is redundant, to hate them, heretical. Those more sensible will place responsibility with those who forced their hands ~
